Used as an effective collector for non‑ferrous metal ores and precious metal minerals such as gold and silver. It has weak foaming ability and good selectivity, providing excellent flotation performance for difficult‑to‑process sulfide ores including copper, lead, and nickel. It features strong collecting ability with weak affinity for pyrite, and is widely applied in copper mines and associated gold‑ and silver‑bearing ores. It is commonly used in the preferential flotation separation of lead and zinc.
