Sodium/Potassium butyl xanthate is a collector with moderate collecting ability and good selectivity. It is suitable for the flotation of chalcopyrite, sphalerite, pyrite and activated sphalerite, and can also be used in sulfide ores for the preferential floatation of copper sulfide minerals from iron sulfide ores. It is normally applied in roughing and scavenging operations.
