Sodium/Potassium isobutyl xanthate is a strong collector suitable for the flotation of copper, lead, zinc, and nickel sulfide ores, especially for the sulfide ores of precious metals. In addition, it is effective in the flotation of partially oxidized copper and lead ores. It can also be used as a precipitating agent in hydrometallurgy and as a rubber vulcanization accelerator. It is normally applied in roughing and scavenging operations.
